Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is a specialized form of therapy where a human therapist partners with a horse to provide therapeutic growth, emotional support and healing. Although there is contact with the horses, it does not involve mounted work and/or riding. No prior horse experience is necessary. My equine work is done in connection with T-K ranch and utilizes learning ground techniques and practicing mindfulness while working with horses. Individual EAP Sessions will last between 60-75 minutes.
I am trained in equine assisted EMDR (EA-EMDR), which utilizes co-regulation with horses in order to help process traumatic experiences.
